A majority of organisations have a rolling 12 month sick leave policy. This should be shown in the individual employee profile in terms of days and events.

While there is an option to run a report on a policy for a 12 month period (either by employee or for all employees), the employee profile shows a continuous count unless you choose the policy to reset after a year. However most sick leave rolling 12 month policies are based on employee's start date, not a calendar date (i.e. 1 Jan).
